Frequently Asked Questions

▷ Are you open yet?

Not yet. The Village Break is in development. Our location, opening date, and final service details will be announced when they are confirmed.
_________

▷ Where will you be located?

We are planning our first location in Minneapolis. Tell us your ZIP code and preferred area in the interest form so we can understand where families need care.
_________

▷ Is this full-time child care?

No. Our model is intended for families who need shorter periods of care rather than full-day enrollment. The current plan allows up to three visits per week per child.
_________

▷ Can I leave the building?

Not during the proposed parent-on-site phase. A parent or legal guardian must remain in the building. Leaving would only be an option after the future licensed drop-off program opens.
_________

▷ How long would visits last?

The parent-on-site session length is still being confirmed. Future licensed drop-off visits are planned for two to four hours. We will publish the final limits before enrollment opens.
_________

▷ Will you care for infants?

Infant care is included in our plan, with limited spaces. Final admission ages and age-specific availability will depend on the approved program, facility, and staffing.
_________

▷ Do I need a membership?

We plan to offer both occasional visits and monthly memberships. All visits will depend on available space; “drop-in” does not mean a walk-in place is guaranteed.
_________

▷ Can siblings attend together?

We plan to welcome siblings when suitable spaces are available. The draft pricing includes a 15% discount for the second child. Final details will be provided before registration.
_________

▷ What languages will be available?

Our founding team includes English and Oromo fluency and conversational Somali skills. Day-to-day language support will depend on staffing. Please share your preferred language in the interest form.
_________

▷ Does joining the waitlist reserve a place?

No. It lets us know you are interested and gives us permission to send opening and registration information. It does not guarantee a place, price, opening date, or priority position, and it does not obligate you to enroll.
